The start of something new
I am in the process of starting my daycare business, which has always been my dream. I am going to offer daycare for infants to 3 years old. We will offer play based care as I feel that kids should be allowed to be kids at this young age, there is always plenty of time for formal education. We will have play based learning, such as colors, letters, etc. but otherwise PLAY, FUN, LAUGHS, AND MORE PLAY!!!

I am extremely interested in your daycare. What kind of formal education do you offer fir my 2-year old son?
ReplyDeleteFinally! A place where a kid can be a kid. I like this concept. Don't get me wrong, I believe in education strongly. However, I think childhood goes too fast to rush it.
ReplyDeleteWe are a play based daycare, so we will not be doing any "real" formal education. For the two and three-year olds we will work on colors and letters but that is about it. We feel that kids under three should be allowed to grow and learn at their own pace, there is enough time for formal education later. We emphasize fun and laughter for everyone.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have a nice facility. I am wondering if reserve spots for families expecting children or is it in a first come first serve basis. Also is there any criteria that has to be met to place a child in your daycare.
